CVS Shopping Trip Week of 4-7-13

Many times I am ask, “how do you do it?”, meaning exactly how do I get tons of products for very little money. Each week I do the coupon matchups but I also sit down with a pen and a piece of paper and write down exactly what my plan is for shopping. I thought since I am writting it down anyway, I might as well share it with my readers. So this is, in detail, exactly what I am buying this week at CVS, the coupons that I am using, and the amount of money I am spending.

As you know, the key to saving big with coupons is stacking. Also, you have to roll your ECB’s that you earn from one transaction into the next. So here is my plan:

1st transaction ~

Soft Soap Body Washes 2/ $7
Grab 4 for $14
– (4) $1/1 Softsoap Body Wash or Bar Soap, exp. 4/27/13 (SS 04/07/13)
I’m using $5 in ECB I had left over from last week if you don’t have this your total will be $10.
Total due plus tax = $5 Get $6 in ECB

2nd transaction ~

Infusium Shampoo and conditioner 2/ $10
Grab 1 shampoo and 1 conditioner
Use (2) $2/1 Infusium23 Shampoo, Conditioner or Leave In Treatment, exp. 5/7/13 (SS 04/07/13 R)

Stride Gum 2/$2
Grab 2
Use $1/2 Stride Gum Single Pack, exp. 5/19/13 (SS 04/07/13)
Use $6 ECB from purchase above
Total due = $1 plus tax get $6 ECB

3rd transaction~

Gillette Mach 3 razor $9.99
Use $2/1 Gillette Mach3 Razor, exp. 5/31/13 (RP 04/07/13)
Use $6 ECB from above purchase
Total due = $ $1.99 plus tax get $3 ECB (I will use this next week)

Total out of pocket = $7.99 plus tax for $36 worth of product. Plus, I have $3 in ECB to use toward next week’s loot!!  There are tons more of CVS deals this week. But these are the things that I need to keep my stockpile up. With a family of 6 we use a lot of body wash, shampoo, and razors.  This plan may not be exactly what you need but it gives you a guideline of the possbile savings.
